OBESITY AWARENESS WEEK
Most people know if they are overweight or obese. But as we do this by comparing with other people and as a population we are getting larger so sometimes even if we are overweight we do not realise we are.
About 6 out of 10 men and women are overweight or obese so comparing yourself with others becomes increasingly difficult.
Obesity links with lots of health problems like Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes (about which I am writing a book for kindle), high blood pressure, heart problems, varicose veins, mobility difficulties, breathlessness, back problems as well as social and emotional difficulties.
To lose just 10% of the weight helps to improve health.
